 The information route boards for tourist were placed at Zagatala district with purpose of development of the ecotourism in the protected nature territories and around them by Azerbaijan Ornithological Society on 27-30th of March, 2008. The information on the boards will help tourists to get information about routs and easily observe the nature.

Winter counts 2008
 The employees of Azerbaijan Ornithological Society with active members and students held expeditions for winter counts at Redlake, Shelf Factory and Alat settlement on 25.01.08, at Pirallahy settlement on 27.01.08 and at the Lake Hadjikabul on 05.02.08. During the expeditions the information about count methods of birds and the usage rules of optician apparatuses was given to our new members and birds counts was implemented with their participation. ... The specialist on Lesser White-fronted Goose of the Norway Ornithological Society Tomas Arvak came to Azerbaijan with purpose exchange of experiment between Azerbaijan and Norway specialists on 10th of January 2008. After short presentation at AOS office and acquaintance with city they had gone with employees of AOS to field expedition for 10 day on 11th of January. Purposes of the expedition were to specify the wintering places of Lesser White-fronted Goose and counted number of the bird.

International Birdwatching Day
 In October 6 the workers of Azerbaijan Ornithological Society with nature lovers and members of AOS went to birdwatching. We visited Red lake and Shelf Factory that day. The ambassador of Germany and his wife were our honourable guests.
At the second part of the day an interractive workshop dedicated to the event was organized at the AOS office. The main goal of the workshop was to discuss the most actual problems of the sites which were visited and to learn ideas of the participants about AOS. ... Read more ...
